Our Programs

At Tamarack Gymnastics we strive to develop programs for all ages and abilities. Our goal is to encourage each athlete to meet their individual athletic goals while meeting new people, having fun, feeling comfortable and building confidence.

 

Recreational

Recreational class are designed to teach the FUNdamentals of gymnastics. Classes follow the CanGym and CanJump Programs, which are nationally recognized gymnastics programs. Youth are grouped according to age and level in their designated programs.
 

Sprouts

Designed for children 2 - 3 years. This class is designed to enhance your child’s motor, listening, and social skills through fun gymnastics-oriented activities (an adult is expected to actively participate with their child).

Seedlings

Designed for children 4-5 years old. This class gives your child an introduction to the basic skills of gymnastics.

Saplings

Designed for youth ages ​6-15 these classes follow the RecGym Pro program. Youth will work their way through the levels depending on their individual abilities. For an overview of the RecGym Pro levels please click the link below:

Trampoline & Tumbling

​Designed for youth ages ​6-15 these classes follow the CanJump program. Youth will work their way through the levels depending on their individual abilities with the three disciplines.

Competitive

Tamarack Gymnastics runs the following pre-competitive & competitive teams. All teams are invite only and follow the rules laid out in the Tamarack Gymnastics Competitive Handbook. For more information about our competitive teams please contact our office.

Junior Tamarack

The Junior Tamarack team is a pre-competitive program designed for young athletes ages 5-8 that show potential to quickly excel in the sport of gymnastics. It focuses on improving their strength, flexibility, agility, confidence, and physical abilities in artistic gymnastics. Here they will begin to work on the skills needed for competitive gymnastics so that they can move into the competitive stream. When they enter the competitive stream, they may enter at the Regional, Provincial or National Level.

Women's Artistic

This program follows the Junior Olympic levels 1-10. Athletes in this program train between 2-18 hours per week. The hours trained depend on the level of athlete. The Junior Olympic levels compete throughout the province of Manitoba. The higher Junior Olympic levels also can attend competitions throughout Canada and the USA.

Trampoline & Tumbling

​This program follows the Trampoline Canadian Pathways Levels 1-7, Junior and Senior. Athletes in this program train between 6-18 hours per week and compete throughout Canada, the USA and internationally depending on their level. 

 

 

 

 


Specialty

Tamarack Gymnastics offers the following specialty programs. If you are interested in a program that you do not see please contact our office.

Teen/Adult 

Designed for youth age 16 - adults of any age. This class is for anyone that wants to learn gymnastics, improve their overall fitness or simply have fun on the equipment.

Structured and open gym times are available.

Women's Artistic

Designed for youth ages ​4-15 our Home school class follows the CanGym program. Youth will be split into groups dependent on age and ability.

Cohort

Designed for families and close friends that have formed a cohort that they feel comfortable getting together with outside of the home.
Cohort classes are instructed by our certified coaches with the youth learning through the same program as our Saplings.
